A good 2nd day for USA-
Spencer Lee (Iowa University) won his 1st 2 matches and is into the semis this afternoon.
Aaron Brooks (Penn State) beat the #1 seed in his 1st match, won his 2nd match and is on to the semis.
Helen Maroulis was the 1st US woman to win a gold medal which she did in 2016, she then won a bronze medal in 2020 in Tokyo, has won her 1st 2 matches and is on to the semis this afternoon.
So far 2 USA women have already won gold medals Amit Elor and Sarah Hildebrandt.
The Olympic committee cut back wrestling from 10 weights to 6 weights so it could add 3 on 3 basketball and other dumb "sports."
Oh and Myles Amine (University of Michigan) is wrestling for Armenia and made it to the semis. Dual citizen.
Also there are plenty of Russians who are wrestling for other countries, so they really didn't get banned from the Olympics. Aaron Brooks gets a Russian in his semi-final match.
