Related: About this forumMatt Cain walks 4 in 1st on way to 6-2 Giants loss
Bruce Bochy lectured on the perils of declaring any team the best in baseball in June. Little did he know that the Nationals would roll through AT&T Park and prove his point so quickly.
The Nats have taken the first three games of a potential playoff preview, although they did not have to reach far to grab their 6-2 win Wednesday night.
Matt Cain all but handed it to them when he walked the bases loaded the start the game. All three scored. Cain kept the Giants in the game and left after five innings and four runs, but that was too many.
The Giants own their second three-game losing streak of the season, their first since mid-April, and need Tim Hudson to be Ponce de Leon more than ever Thursday to prevent a four-game sweep. It would be the first by the Expos/Nationals franchise against San Francisco since 1971.

Brandon Belt back and playing well. His big bat is needed in the line up.
