Birders
Related: About this forumThere is a crow obviously suffering from the extreme heat that we have been
having: 94-97 in the past two days. Really oppressive.
He is just sitting there.
I turned on the sprinklers system. He was not in line, but some of the mists reached him. He stood up for a while then turned around and now is back sitting.
Squirrels are running next to him and he does not move. There is bird bath a few feet next.
Sunset is in 45 min. I hope that he will recover.

(93,121 posts)Do watch to see if it's there in the morning. Could be heat or an illness or both. Giving it water like that was a good idea, maybe after the sun goes down it will be able to cool off better.
question everything
(48,977 posts)I was out with the food for the "night crew" - bunnies and sometimes deer or raccoon - and as I came closer he flew away. Temp also now is "only" 84 so it might helped.

(41,381 posts)was obviously hurt in a thunderstorm. He was around for a couple of days until one morning when he must have been attacked by a cat. It was a murder scene. I felt so bad.
I hope your crow is ok.
