(7,057 posts)1. All our hummingbirds packed it in on Labor Day weekend.
One day they were here, about 60 miles above NYC, and the next...nothing.
They just about drank their feeder dry. I refilled it for any stragglers who might be coming down from the north, but we won't see our hummers again until late spring.

(36,002 posts)2. I thought these were gone a few days ago but I'm still seeing a male and female from time to time.
But they will all be gone soon and I wont see them again until April, hoping we are all still here

I haven't heard the Rufous for at least two weeks now. But we have two groups of Anna's that are still here. One group stays year round, and about half fly south.
