On the nest:

Incubating or housekeeping after storm

On owl box, established by County Natural Resources Dept. (they tried to use it, after geese moved in, but too windy to maintain nest)

the box is un-used, tho osprey tried a few times. It's at a particulary windy/breey spot, between river and creek, @ northern end of my little peninsula!

they might be there early. They are just sitting in the trees. It has mostly been far too windy. I was not joking that one went flying by my window backwards. I will never forget that sight. Usually if it is not good here they stay only a little while then leave. We are going to hit 90 this weekend. I don't know but 90 degrees and wind so hard you fly backwards would make me leave....i n fact...nope I gotta stay.
