dear birders .

i was just out taking my trash to the dumpster and along comes this bird about four zero feet,. big, all black, and red on its head . what was that ?. sorry no pics of it. thanks in advance .

4 feet tall is a bit much for a Turkey Vulture but up close and personal might give you the impression it was big. They do have an impressive wingspan.
