Injuries, age, and cap have caught up with the 49ers

at 5-5 there are now at least 7 teams in the NFC with better records.

5. The NFC West is tight.

The Arizona Cardinals lead the division at 6-4. San Francisco, Seattle, and the Los Angeles Rams are all tied at 5-5. Whoever pulls out in this division isn't likely to scare the Lions or the Eagles, but someone has to do it. There's reason to think it might be the Niners.

6. They're going to have to get healthy real quick

And stay healthy.

Figure losses to Detroit and Buffalo are a given. They’ll have to beat Arizona, Rams, Chicago, Miami and Green Bay to finish 10-7. That might win the division.

A whole lots of us are feeling that. Gettin old, everything is breaking, and a cap on our income.
Except for an occasion $40 dollar a month raise some years. And Premium increases twice that.
Hard to win under that scenario.
