01 January 1975 Rose Bowl (50 Years Ago)

USC 18 Notre Dame 17

My Wife and I, married less then a year, were sitting in the USC Student Section, tickets complements of a High School Buddy of Mine.

Tickets were $12.00 plus .50 tax

“FREE AUTO PARKING”

Still got the tickets.

OSU 27 USC (with OJ Simpson) 16

Ohio State was undefeated and named National Champions.

My husband, his ex-dorm mate, and I drove my 1968 red Camaro from Columbus to Pasadena through a major snow storm in Oklahoma. Saw the parade. I still have my ticket stub from the game.

Especially 50 plus years later. I was living in Fayetteville Arkansas in January 69. I remember the nasty snow.

Didn’t think about the price then, but I chuckle every time I pass by it framed and hanging with other tickets in the garage.
