Well they

just can’t get out of this losing streak. Now the backup QB to Mahomes might have an ACL tear in his left knee 😳. Don’t know who the backup to the backup is, but good luck with that.

1. The Tennessee Titans are pretty bad.

And they just made mighty Kansas City look terrible. After a decade of dominating the AFC West, they have fallen.

Hee hee.

I might not be able to function tomorrow with all the heartache and angst. It’ll be tough. But I’ll leave one and all with SAINTS WIN, SAINTS WIN

3. Horrible season for the Chiefs

From bad to worse. I don't know how they are going to get fired up to play the rest of the season. Love the Chiefs, but this year is just

the KC Chiefs as well (hope they don’t move to KS). This just wasn’t their year and I knew eventually this would happen. They have had a great run. I don’t believe Kelce will be back, and it’s time for Mahomes to find other receivers he can have confidence in. I am wondering if the offense coach will be history. I have been saying it’s time for him to go since last year. I think a few other players will be let go after this season.

4. They've dominated the AFC for years and they had a winner's mentality

I think they forgot how it was to lose so many games and how, as a team, to rebound from it. They will still go out and try their best but I think at this point in the season their self-confidence is gone.

5. THe Chiefs are doing this the right way (not that they wanted to miss the playoffs)

But if you're a long time dominant team that's gonna miss the playoffs due to a variety of circumstances, it behooves them to finish with as bad a record as possible, to get as high a draft pick as possible. If Mahomes can come back, the core of the team is still very good and they won't likely have as bad of luck next year as they've had this year. So a high draft spot allows them to add higher level talent to an already good team.

hope that they don’t try to finish with a bad record so they get a higher pick in the draft. If it’s found they are doing it on purpose, by NFL rules they can be heavily fined and lose out on draft picks.

Tanking is widespread. The Bears tanked in 2022, trading away basically any good players they had, finishing 3-14 and getting the #1 pick in the next draft (which they traded for a king's ransom to the Panthers). There's a difference between playing lousy players - so you lose - and deliberately losing. The NFL will throw the book at you for the latter, and turn a blind eye to the former.

The Chiefs are on a third string QB now, someone I've never heard of (Chris Oladokun). Even before Gardner Minshew got hurt, though, it had become clear that Mahomes had been carrying a flawed offense. The Chiefs are pretty solid on defense but they need help on the offensive line, at receiver, and at tight end (Kelse is headed for the HoF but his best days are behind him). They're not "trying to lose" but they don't seem committed to winning like they have been for the last decade or so.

the O line needs new players. They have not been good all season. First thing is get rid of Nagy. Been saying this for two years. As much as I like Kelce, time for him to look to his future and retire. I have heard of Oladokun, barely, but never knew what position he played. Hoping they don’t keep Minshew. He only signed a one year contract, so am guessing he won’t be back.
Oh and p.s. please Chiefs, don’t go to KS, but know they will. The current governor and former Jackson County executive piddled around and didn’t try to keep them here. The mayor of Kansas City tried, but ultimately it was up to the governor and Jackson County executive to work hard to keep them here, along with the citizens of Jackson County. Guess the citizens of the county didn’t care either since they voted down a tax incentive last year to keep the team here.

10. Nowhere did I suggest the Chiefs were doing it on purpose nor did I suggest they should do it on purpose

They've sucked really well completely on their own having lost games in a row and 6 out of 7, and they are now on their 3rd quarterback who has no experience. They're are pretty much guaranteed to lose to Denver on Christmas.
