Steelers: black and gold
Cowboys: blue and silver
Packers: green and gold
And the Patriots only really got good when they stopped wearing red jerseys and changed to blue ones.
And of course, for most of the history of baseball, uniforms had no color at all -- but pinstripes sure seemed to help.

of each team looked almost exactly the same - mixtures of red and white.
Think it makes an interesting research project as a work avoidance tool. This article wasn't really reflective of what I was thinking which was more about how
teams did vs other teams based on the other team's colors. The starker the difference the better you do - would be what I would try to prove.
P.S. Alabama - red
Someone on "Crimson Tide Radio" suggested Alabama seems to do much better on the road wearing the white uniform. When they are at home in the popular red, they struggle.
So, it was suggested, before the LSU game Alabama should pick the white uniform and drive around in a bus before the game, and use the visitors locker-room! 
I remember in the good old days the visitor wore the dark uniform on the road for laundry/travel purposes.
Now, I think the Oregon Ducks have created the disposable one-and-done uniform? 
But red is very popular.
In the SEC, sometimes you get confused who to root for on a play if you lose track of who is wearing the red top from week to week!
