I have been a Chief's fan for many years; bought season tickets for the new Arrowhead stadium two years before it was built. Unfortunately, my employer transferred me to Florida before I ever got to watch a game there, but I watched many games in old Municipal Stadium, munching Bryant's Barbeque before hand. Watched several Chiefs/Raiders games, and oh boy...

I live in San Diego now and gave up on the Chargers' bad attitude some years ago. If they were a local team with no money to get good talent I would be on board, but big talent and poor performance does not keep me loyal. I would always be a Chiefs fan in any case, but the Chargers have given me nothing to bring me on board.

And this year the Raiders are playing with such enthusiasm and teamwork, with such a cool attitude, overcoming a weak defense (other than Khalil Mack), that I cannot help but be on board with them. I will be happy with whoever wins, I think, favoring the Chiefs a bit, and am just hoping the game lives up to forecast.

Why the Chargers logo than? Shouldn't you change it to whatever team you are behind? I am ready for tonight, if I can't stream it live I will listen via the radio as I mostly have done all season!

But when you live in San Diego distinctive logos are hard to come by. We don't have a Space Needle, or a World Trade Center... Our tallest building is, I think, a whopping 18 stories. We have something that the locals call mountains, but being only 4,300' high... Please. Beaches are nice enough, but they don't make good logos. Awesome women, but DU would balk at that.

Bummed about the game. It was not a good game because Oakland did not have a quarterback. He claims the finger is not bothering him, but obviously it was. He's been completing 72% all year and completes only 41.5% tonight. He threw only one or two passes on target. You had to feel bad for him, and for the team.

and your real team has a crappy logo? That's kind of stretch isn't it? If you have a team you like, you should back them full throttle, crappy logo or not.

Assuming that "my real team" is the Chiefs, I never said that their logo is crappy or that I in any way did not like it. In fact, I do like it quite a lot.

I chose a logo representing San Diego because that is where I have lived for 28 years and it is my home. I love the city. It has friendly people, a lovely climate, the ocean and lots of ships. The lightening bolt is easily recognizable as San Diego, and that's why I used it.

If my using it even when I am not an undying and ardent fan of the team offends you, I apologize. I'll look around and see if I can find a logo that is easily recognizable as being San Diego but is not about football.

With that logic, since I live in San Francisco, I should have a 49ers logo, or the SFGiants logo, but I happen to love the Raiders across the bay, and been an ardent Raiders fan for most of my life.

Instead, I chose to use a logo that is Japanese, which... amazingly, I Have never been there nor born there.

I like it, because my ancestors came from there, (by way of Hawaii) and if you look at me you will see that I am Asian. I do have a photo of the Raiders in my sig, cause its seasonal. When Football season is over, I expect I will change it..(unless by some chance they win the Superbowl than I will wear it longer)

I can see that you would wear the San Diego team logo, to show you are in San Diego, and I guess that cool...but if you were a die-hard Steelers fan, lets say, why not show your team pride?

I guess its possible that if you wore that, people would think you were from PA. But I have talked to Raider fans, who were in New York or Maine...cause they are every where. Anyway, that's cool, but it seemed odd to me that you wear the Chargers logo to identify your location. But the fact that you are unhappy with them, and still wear the logo is a little puzzling..but I get it. There is nothing else to show your location, unless you had a San Diego sign..itself. (Which you could probably google and use, if you wanted to, as a suggestion.) Like below

It didn't really mean much to me and is not worth all this silly discussion.

there is nothing wrong with discussion. I think its great to use a logo ...but if you think its a hassle, what can I say? Some people hate the fact that sports teams belong to corporations which in turn do negative things for the city or state they are in. But I don't have a problem with that. I have been chastised for using the Japan logo because of dolphin kills in Japan. I am against that, and yet because I am Japanese it must mean we all hate all dolphins and whales, which is seems ridiculous.

I guess in Trumps world, I will probably be branded a foreigner and an immigrant. I guess I am, since my ancestors went from Polynesia to Hawaii long, long, long, long ago!
