The sheer arrogance and douchebaggery of the so-called band wagoners called Packer fans here at DU. Poems about going to the Super Bowl and undefeated season. The incredibly swelled heads. The "we are the locally owned team" garbage stated over and over again. Well:

IT'S OVER! YOUR TEAM IS DONE!! No undefeated season (thanks KC) and no Super Bowl. No franchise with such a terrible defense deserves to be in a Super Bowl, which has shown how low the NFL has really gotten. An overrated team.

We know how much this means to you. Have a sad, sad night! And congrats to the Giants, and their fans who have been classy here at DU. Way to represent the NFC East and I hope you guys go all the way.

What a joke. Basically a 37-6 game with some fraud attached to it.

5. I thought I was the only one

who noticed the poor officiating. Even little Joey and Aikman seemed to be in sympathy with the Packers.

7. Aikman couldn't believe that roughing call in the 4th quarter

Gotta give him credit, he was like a dog with a bone.

The refs were almost as awful when the two teams played in NY and the Packers were still undefeated. Much better Giant team now though.

6. If you think that of Packers fans you don't know many of us -

most of us grew up watching them lose more than they won (1970s-early 90s come to mind).

9. I'm sure there are a few band wagon fans out there

I don't know any of them.

I grew up watching them win everything all the time.

Then came the 70s and 80s and early 90s and it was hard to be a packer fan.

I think we won one postseason game from '72 to '94.

10. Yup - I was a kid in the 70s so for me it was lose lose lose

It was probably good training for learning sportsmanship. We lived about an hour from Green Bay and although we didn't have season tickets we watched all the games and always cheered them on no matter what. My years at UW-Madison were similar. We always stayed for the 5th quarter no matter what ... and even with Al Toon at the school we didn't get to the Rose Bowl. It's been pretty exciting the past few years with both teams doing well.

Super Bowl repeats are tough to do but we had a good season and we'll have a lot of returning veterans.
