Related: About this forumDraft thread. I'll start: Javon Kinlaw, San Francisco 49ers
6-foot-5 and 324 pounds. As John Madden might say, "that is a lot of man."
Never crazy about drafting a wideout (Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State) in the first round, especially since the 49ers are way thin in the defensive backfield, but I like Aiyuk's yards after the catch average: 11.1. That so fits into the 49er scheme.

(18,017 posts)It does show the long view though and worked out well for them last time. Jordan Love should be the happiest QB drafted on Day 1 (maybe Justin Herbert as well). I don't think Burrows or Tua are as happy with their situations.

(31,848 posts)Packers have NINE picks left though, so they're certainly not done. That's a lot of fresh faces.

(31,848 posts)with the college season in doubt Green Bay might be hedging their bets by taking an known entity now rather than wait for next year. There's plenty of film on Love, for example. If the 2020 college season is shortened, drafting a QB in 2021 is going to be riskier IMO.

(31,848 posts)IMO this team needed new blood in the trenches. Gruden's group tied for 8th in the league (with Cincinnati) for points per game allowed at 26.2. A CB and ILB might help in pass coverage (2nd and 5th pick), but the best defenses come from strong defensive lines.
Eh -- not a fan anymore. The Davis family screwed Oakland too many times. Hope they tank again.

Really like this trade. Williams needs little to no adjustment to get up to speed. And Niners fill a huge hole at tackle (with Joe Staley's departure) without giving up a lot.
GM John Lynch is going for broke, provided there's a season.

Rohrwasser was asked about what appears to be a Three Percenters tattoo on his left arm during his introductory conference call. The Three Percenters are a far-right militia movement and paramilitary group. I got that tattoo when I was a teenager, Rohrwasser said. I had a lot of family in the military, and I thought it stood for a military support symbol at the time. Obviously, it evolved into something that I did not want to represent. When I look back on it, I should have done way more research before I put any mark or symbol like that on my body. Its not something I want to represent. So, it will be covered. Rohrwasser was selected 159th overall in the fifth round. He started his college career at URI.

No weak teams in division now that Az improved their defense. The Seahawks improved team through offseason moves and draft. But I think Az and SF improved more. The Rams are probably on par with the hawks.
