I was hoping OSU would get curbstomped and put all the Trumpers in a bad mood for their hero.

It probably didn't affect the outcome, but it pissed me off so much I had to switch to a different game.

20/21, 276 yards, 2 TD.

OSU's defense looks worse, so they could easily lose a game because of them -- to the reaction of glee for most of the country and this reaction by hardcore Buckeyes fans:

that opposing team player and the announcers playing dumb as to what happened even though it was clear what he did. I was telling at the TV, "he punched him! Are you blind?" Should mention that one of the reasons I hated Woody was that Nixon gave him a shout out at a protest in DC in 1970.

... that he'd finally be fired, which indeed happened even before he returned to Ohio. His tantrums just seemed to get worse as he got older.

There were a bunch of talented Ohio high school players (back when there were more of them in Ohio) who decided to play for Michigan or Notre Dame in those days, probably because of Hayes.

Here's a classic from the Woody Hayes days:

Edit: Oh, and Hayes was indeed a right-winger. That's probably another reason why my family was never enamored by him.

PSU grad here. I still remember the game where PSU beat OSU 19-0 and Woody held a news conference spouting statistics to show what a close game it actually was. You lost 19-0, dude. It wasn't close.
