This is the most hated team in the NFL, according to a recent Twitter study

While every fanbase in the NFL has their own rival, it seems hating one team in particular brings most fans together: the Pittsburgh Steelers.

SportsInsider used data from over 90,000 tweets to come to the conclusion that NFL fans hate the Steelers more than any other team.

Anyone who has watched a game between the Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals or Cleveland Browns (from any year), knows those teams do not get along, but clearly it goes beyond just the AFC North.

They study found the Steelers were the most "hated" team in a total of eight states, which marked the most in the league. According to the data, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island are where people who tweet "I hate the Steelers" are mostly located.

This survey is true for me. I don't like the Seahawks but I have a lot of respect for them. I also don't like the Steelers because of the Cardinals-Steelers Super Bowl.

Admittedly, it's refreshing to see Buffalo and Miami atop the AFC East Auggie Nov 2020 #10

Steelers have solid ownership and always field a competitive team. You have to respect that. Seahawks too.

The Rooney family also more or less flies under the radar avoiding braggadocio and scandal (with perhaps the exception of Roethlisberger).

Most of the Steelers hate comes from states of divisional rivalries. It explains why states east of New York hates the Jets even though they have been irrelevant for awhile.

I respect the Seahawks as well as Russell Wilson & Pete Carroll. I just root against them since they share a division with the Cardinals. Roethlisberger is a big part of why I don't like the Steelers but I generally just root for the other team when the Steelers are playing.

Have people no sense of history? The Raiders should have won that hands down.
