But, having followed college football for over 50 years, it's money that drove the decision. Notre Dame has a nation-wide fan base; A&M does not. Notre Dame draws more TV viewers than A&M.

(7,962 posts)Notre Dame had the best regular season win this season with the victory over Clemson. Also had a road win over 15th-ranked North Carolina. And the SEC is not as good as it has been overall and A&M had three close wins over teams that were mediocre or not good, like LSU.
And no, I am definitely not a ND fan. Just pointing out facts.

(2,306 posts)The virus has thrown a monkey wrench into everything that has to do with 2020. There needs to be an asterisk beside the Dodgers' World Series win too. Along with whatever else happens in the world of sports.

The BCS was better than this. Mid majors had a better shot as well.
