Ownership of the Los Angeles Chargers may be in jeopardy, and former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos just might swoop in to save the day. That is, if you really want Bezos running anything. The sister of Chargers owner Dean Spanos has filed for a petition for a forced sale of the team. The court filing alleges that the Spanos family is going into considerable debt owning the Chargers. The only rational solution, according to the 156-page document, would be to put the franchise on the market.
Bezos has been cited as a potential replacement. Previous reports have indicated he would love to own an NFL team someday. Given the strange state of the Chargers, he may soon have the opportunity.

(5,398 posts)When I went to SDSU the Aztecs home games were played there. I was in the marching band so always had a prime seat on the 50 and entered through the tunnel onto the field. It was always the Murph to me. At 55 years old it was definitely showing its age! Too bad its going. I remember when we hosted the Super Bowl...what a beautiful day. I'm sure the rest of the country was so jealous!

In real life I'd much rather see him buy the Dallas Cowboys because Dallas will never win another NFL championship as long as Jerry Jones is the owner and General Manager.
