Should Baker Mayfield sue the NFL and the refs from the Green Bay game?

Sure, this is a little "tongue in cheek", but I think he'd have a case.

Yes, I am a Browns fan venting, but a recent survey shows that Cleveland fans are the 12th most complaining fans.

Considering the Browns history, you'd think we'd be #1.

So, Baker Mayfield is in a potential extension year. He could be signed to a multi-year deal worth millions.

He didn't play well. Despite throwing 3 interceptions, the Browns were driving for a potential winning score. A clear defensive pass interference resulted in a 4th interception, and probably killed any chance Cleveland had for the playoffs this year.

Watch the film. Even honest Packer fans would say; "yep, that was Pass Interference."

Two of Baker's interceptions, the first and the least one, were clearly the result of Pass Interference.

Baker and the Browns said all the right things after the game

"Can't put the game in the hands of the officials"

"Can't rely on getting that call"

"Have to play better" "blah, blah, blah"

That's football, but it's also business.

How much money does a missed call like that cost Baker?

Would we accept this in any other profession?

"Hey, sometimes the pilot just misses the runway"

"Hey, sometimes the cook just misses the expiration date on that meat"

Seems like there is a hell of a lot of money and careers subject to whether or not a little yellow flag gets thrown.

So maybe Baker doesn't get a contract.

Maybe the Browns win their final two games, get some help and win their division.

Or, maybe we do what Browns fans have done for 60 years...wait 'til next year.

16. Browns went to the Divisional playoffs last year without Beckham

He only played 7 games, all in the beginning the 2020 season.

Here are Beckham's stats with the Browns for 2022: He was targeted 34 times for 17 receptions in 6 games, no TDs. A total of 232 yards -- average of about 38 yards a game. Those numbers suck for what he was paid. The future will be better without him.

officiating crew on their payroll. They get 95% of the calls, and if something doesn't go their way Aaron Rogers cries and throws tantrums until they reverse it.

The Browns got hosed, but the NFL loves their fair-haired boy Aaron Rogers, and they'll do most anything to please him. He's got COVID Toe but they make believe it's anything but that, just so Aaron doesn't get upset. Biggest baby in the league.

I think. They've been treated special since they were little kids, always told how great they were, how talented they are, and that they're better than all the rest. After awhile 90% of them actually believe it.

It always cracks me up when one guy will make a tackle, catch a ball, break up a pass etc. and they'll act like they're Superman. I can't help myself from yelling at the TV, "you caught a ball moron, you didn't find a cure for cancer".

I guess most athletes at the top level of their sport act that way. To me it's totally ludicrous. To many sports fans, these guys are gods though.

This isn't manifested in any other occupation that I can think of. Can you imagine an insurance salesman doing a victory dance in his office? Spiking his clipboard and doing backflips for writing a new policy for someone? The country would come to a standstill.

I'm just going by what the commentators say. The worst ones are the missed calls. The refs don't see something, but everyone else does. The team that benefits acts like there was no problem. The team that is wronged - well they'd best put it behind them because there is no going back.

The drama of the wronged is an art form... you see this in every sport.

10. There were two specific late calls that went against the Browns

Those calls cost the Browns 2 games. The Chargers game for sure, and probably the Green Bay game.

That's the difference between the playoffs, or staying home.

I get that there are blown calls, but it begins to start reaching conspiracy level when those calls all go against a team in the final minutes/seconds of a game.

I have tried to find a critical call that went in the Browns favor over the past 20 years, and can't find one.
