Have been looking for reasons behind the show Sunday. Today the Bucs fired him officially and he has released a statement through his attorney.
The link (CBS Sports) below has the full statement in text and a video I did not watch. I believe Antonio.

I wouldn't take this as gospel, but I bet it's a closer depiction of events that what Brown is claiming:

If he is injured and they were pressing him to play that way
he of course deserves to be heard. I do not, however, think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Im any event his career is over.

(2,486 posts)Diagnosed or not, his erratic behavior with so much to lose speaks volumes. If that's the case I hope he finds the help he needs, whether he knows it or not.

"What they did not know until now is that on Monday morning I had an urgent MRI on my ankle. It shows broken bone fragments stuck in my ankle, the ligament torn from the bone, and cartilage loss, which are beyond painful. You can see the bone bulging from the outside."
Sorry, TB already had him on watch, and cleared him. He says a bone was pushing out through his skin that TB medical didn't see?!?! He clearly didn't have any problem running out of the tunnel, doing jumping jacks in the end zone on this "beyond painful, bone destructive injury".
TB should have kept him for the 4 weeks, then let him go so he had no chance of going anywhere else. As they say, talent finds a place, but they can keep him out for the remainder of the season.
As far as his mental status, he's a multi-millionaire. Grow up and find your own damn treatment. Far too many people who have far less have to do the same. NFL and Tampa owe him nothing - especially after the rape accusations, vaccine drama, his friggin' rap song, and on and on....
Seriously, coach Bruce Arians KNOWS Brown very well - he was his OC coach in Pitttsburgh. Brown went far beyond even the friendship they had.

(9,629 posts)I don't know if anyone could still play the WR position at 48, regardless of how in-shape they have kept themselves in.
