Nothing like catching a nice fish on a fly rod. Fly fishing is all I do anymore as I get older. All my other spin cast rigs and lures have been gathering dust for years.

of the person against the fish (crappie, panfish, smallmouth bass, ?). I know you used 4# test, you must have been fishing in a weed infested portion of water (so you can pull the line out more easier w/o breaking it).

6. I was fishing for crappie and the water was murky.

4lb test was small enuf. I was fishing off a dock and landed it quickly but knew right away it was no crappie.

8. Neat. Had to be a lot of fun. I sure miss not fishing lately. My favorite is fly rod w/ dry flies

on top of the water, and even though I may not catch anything, just being out there on the water was enough. Take care and thanks for sharing your catch w/ us!

5. I got a four pointer on opening day of bass season this year.

6:15 on the way to the lake this buck ran in front of my truck.
Threw him in the boat and went on home. At least the freezer is full. Very little damage to the truck as I was only going 45.

I gave up fishing when I had to pay for the licenses. The only thing I was catching was a cold.
