Much in the same way heaven is a conveniently unverifiable reward for doing something someone else wants you to do. Those who place belief in such things can be assured they are being controlled by people who were effectively able to do so while offering absolutely nothing in return.

Hell is a curious concept wherein a limited individual, by means of his/er limited actions, can bring about a limitless (eternal) result, punishment.
Like hell, eternal-unlimited heaven is also said to be achieved through some small, limited activities.

So, logically, limited mankind has the god-like ability to manifest eternal limitlessness; as though like a perpetual motion machine.
Hell seemingly violates the laws of thermodynamics, if not the logic of a gracious god. Heaven violates only the first.

Apparently limitless-god is expected (by some of the limited) to exact limitless-punishment.

Personally I think the bored denizens of heaven take hell-cruise-vacation trips for diversion.

is what the entire world is experiencing at this moment. In fact, I would say hell couldn't be worse than this.
