(36,915 posts)The human sperm and egg are in fact live human tissue. The joining of the two and the separation from the host are just steps among many out of all those necessary for human reproduction.
At any point attaching metaphysical properties to human protoplasm has no place in public policy regardless of which completely arbitrary point of application no matter the sincerity.
Until a human is actually surviving on its own without its host, it doesn't deserve its own set of rights independent of the host. This is how it's been for pretty much all of recorded history. Those who want to change that aren't conserving anything. They are just trying to inject their religious claptrap on everyone else.
