They can literally stoop to any level to dominate, everything. Anything done in the service of Jesus, no matter how bizarrely triangulated to fit that excuse, is absolved by the grace of god.

"In some Christian belief systems, an antinomian is one who takes the principle of salvation by faith and divine grace to the point of asserting that the saved are not bound to follow the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments.[2][3] Antinomians believe that faith alone guarantees eternal security in heaven, regardless of one's actions.[4]"
Even the Ten Commandments.

(4,074 posts)Faith leaves room for doubt. Unlike with actions, the results of faith are hidden.
Actions are obvious; results guaranteed even if not always wanted.
Actions that never stray from the right path guarantee one never walks, talks, or acts out the wrong path.
The actions of Saints are seen. Their faith is not. Those truly aligned with the Divine (graced) do not need to follow the rules because they become the rules; their minds and actions never stray from the Godly way.

(36,911 posts)Contained within mosaic law was the requirement for all males to be circumcised. The far more wealthy Romans and Greeks weren't circumcised and doing so was a pretty risky proposition at the time. In order to bring that money into the church, the obvious solution was to declare the old covenants null and void (which is exactly the opposite of what Jesus preached). The new covenant was simple. Accept Jesus as your god and the gates of heaven are open to you. Voila! Nobody had to get circumcised with the added benefit of requiring blind loyalty to the faith to receive the conveniently unverifiable reward in exchange for your tithing.
