I hope everyone has had a good Winter Solstice this year
Soon we will see more and more of the sun.
(Personally I prefer the cold and dark, but that is just how I'm wired ).
I had a very quiet time this year (except for the pair of raccoons that have invaded my attic. It sounds like two large guys having a serious fight, body slams and all ).
How about the rest of y'all? Anything fun and/or special?

All from scratch. The pumpkin grew in my garden. We ate it warm from the oven with Ben and Jerry's vanilla ice cream. Happy Solstice
The days grow longer and the cold grows stronger.

(4,897 posts)4. Nothing particularly special.
Burned a Yule candle through the night from sunset to dawn. Watched the sunrise. Gonna go to the movies with my daughter (Aquaman) later. We were all too raw emotionally from Trump's shenanigans to cook yesterday. Don't need to put THAT energy into food. So, I will cook for us tonight. A quiet but comforting Yule. Cultivating Hope...
