An email from Kate's Brad....

Dear Rick,

Kate is slowly running out of gas. I see her slowing down a little bit more each day. It won't be too long before she enters hospice here at the cancer center. Thankfully, she is not experiencing terrible suffering as some other patients here endure. For that I am grateful. She continues to teach and inspire others. Many people think she is getting better, because so much Light still comes through her.

I'm hanging in there. I'll have a mess to clean up when I get back to Pittsburgh...

7. Kate has entered Hospice

Hello dear family, Kate entered the hospital and into hospice care last night at CTCA in Tulsa. Per her directive she will receive now only care to make her comfortable. She is conscious and still with the world. But some walking between the worlds is definitely occurring.

I will tell you one story from my conversation with her last night. Sometime yesterday Kate began to make an involuntary sound that sounds just like a dolphin. She is curious about it. She doesn't think she is communicating with dolphins because she doesn't know any dolphins. She thinks it is a homing signal. She said it means "I am here. You need to start getting ready to come and get me."

She is not afraid. She is serene, calm and loving. She exhibits an amazing sense of grace that everyone notices. She still has a wicked sense of humor. She said some things last night that us really laughing.

I know that you are praying for an easy passage. I know you are praying for Brad who is by her side with devotion and love. We thank you all.

I will keep you informed.
