HELP can't find my craft books....
My mother, elderly, fundamentalist Christian came to visit. I stress her enough cause I'm a lesbian, so to make it one less thing to fight over..I moved my craft books somewhere in the house and I cannot Find Them! Any one with psychic ability see where they are? Mom comes to visit once every five years, and I was a lot worked up.

(4,482 posts)The back of your clothes closet? In a suitcase? Check behind the couch? Did you place them in back of other books on a bookshelf?
How big is your house? Basement? Attic?

(4,005 posts)I say this because recently I lost the keys to my strongbox and I was in an utter panic. I looked everyone -- twice! Then, I calmed down and went back through the most obvious place I swore I had already checked and there they were, right in front of my face. I was just too stressed to see them.
I would take a deep breath, relax, detach and try again.
Good luck! Let us know when you find them.

(62,263 posts)get your body relaxed, let your brain relax. Remember, you haven't lost them.
Close your eyes and take yourself back to the day you were setting up for her visit. Can you see yourself going through the routine? Can you remember telling yourself that that want to move them so they won't stress her, to a safe place? Where is a safe place for books in your home? Where is a place she wouldn't go in your home?
Don't forget your car and garage.

(6,096 posts)from time to time I "hide" things for various reasons...and often I cannot put my finger on where they are. I usually try to
figure out "what frame of mind I was in when I hid the things in question".
I have a questionable grandchild and I hide my anxiety drugs, ---or I hide mail or things like that from "snoopy"people...but sometimes it all depends on what I was doing at the time I was working on "hiding" something and end up hiding it from myself.
....and the sad part about this is I NEVER ever hide them in the same place...and I panic.
If you can go back to the moment in time you knew she was coming. Relax and see if you can follow your thoughts through a portion of time before the event. Many a time this has given me an "aha"...and I surprise myself when I find where it is was "temporarily missing."
I often lay down and keep asking my inner soul, "Now what was I doing the last time I touched these items" How did I feel, what room was I in....Good luck dear,
I hope you find them...I am sure you will.

(34,372 posts)cause mom has really bad knees, but her eyesight is sharper then mine. This afternoon, full hunt is on. In looking in the main closet, I did find 3 catnip toys and one startled awake cat named ......(wait for it.....) Majik, curled up to his mother....Mojo. Yes, I named them that with full awareness. So I'm looking there again, more deeply.

(29,414 posts)then make it methodical. One room at a time, starting on a single wall, and focus only there. Touch everything in sight, as if to put it into your awareness. So much stuff can hide in plain sight!
Now, the first 'vision' I saw was the bottom shelf of a short set of shelves, stuffed behind other things. It's dusty down there, too. It appeared to be in a dining/breakfast room, possibly a TV stand. I 'saw' that before I saw your post above about your mother's knees. Maybe you were thinking in a similar fashion
Good luck, however you find them!

Something's lost that must be found."
Someone posted this years ago in this group.
I usually just ask my angels to help me find lost things.
Good luck.

(4,005 posts)My grandma had a St. Anthony statue in her house and I can't tell you how many times I've heard this. (Except the two of them were really tight, so she called him Tony.) Then afterward, she would say it was her mind because she lost things all the time.
I heard her voice saying it as I read your words.

Why Syzygy
(18,928 posts)in fact, what I do . is relax. Decide to let the books find you. Stop hunting for them. Do something else. Soon they will show you where they are.

(5,510 posts)If so, it does validate my vision. Hope so!
I'll focus on the others. Right now I'm getting they are in a box w/something on top of them so you can't immediately see them.
