I wrote in the Lounge about some strange going ons

at my friend's house...cabinets opening, a little girl's face in a picture, knocking on the doors and the front door wide open one morning....

Today we woke up to a drawing on the chalkboard....in marker....of 3 Hs with an upside down triangle.

The dog also stares and howls at the walls.

I think it's a little girl....the cabinet that is open is full of girls things...the picture...and the upside down triangle this morning..

Any thoughts?

1. Hmm. Not sure about the H's but the upside down triangle has several possible meanings

The upside down triangle was used, as most people know, to identify homosexuals by the Nazis and is now commonly used as a symbol of gay pride. I'm going to guess that's probably not what your entity is trying to communicate. The upside down triangle can also represent water or the feminine.

Do you have a history of the previous residents of the house? You might be able to find out who lived there through census records and see if a little girl lived there who passed away as a young girl.

So far, it seems like the entity is just trying to let you know it's there and isn't being aggressive or mischievous.

The house is newer...my friends are the first residents. I am going to look up census records for the area.

4. It looks more like a fence.

There are also four dots, a line, and what looks like a pink heart drawn around the whole thing.

5. the heart was already there....I should have mentioned that

my friend's daughter had written I "heart" my family a month ago....then this showed up inside of the heart last night

looks like stitch work from an operation, however it reopened (triangle) and the child still passed.

that's a massive manifestation however. apportation, moved objects, writing (most likely by dream manipulation of sleep walkers), etc... do research about any recently deceased children related to the location. perhaps you can get a name and do a 'rest in peace' ceremony to settle the child's spirit by acknowledging them and their passing.

any lingering items in the closet that could be related to this?

8. Welcome to you!

Sounds like you have something going on there. Sometimes it isn't the house, itself, but the location that has the manifestation. It also can sometimes be that a manifestation is linked somehow with one of the residents.

If you feel that the manifestation is uncomfortable to have in your home, you could try smudging the house with sage or you could do some sort of purification then sealing of the house. Some folks decide that the added "housemate" is not really a bother and they just allow it to continue--even down to acknowledging it and actually speaking to it. It is disconcerting when you first recognize it, but if you feel no threat and the activity poses no real problems beyond freaking out the dog you may want to try that for a bit and see if you can co-exist. Sometimes all it takes is acknowledging the presence and that is enough to calm it down. Sometimes not.

How freaked out ARE you all by it?

but get over it quickly.

The writing on the chalkboard was very strange though.

We all acknowledge the presence.

I've heard about using sage. This will probably be our first step.

A fence w/a tornado going thru it. You didn't mention where this is. Are they located in a tornado prone area? Perhaps the "dots" represent graves or deaths from the tornado.
It looks like Morse code, too.

11. What do you know about the land there before

the house was built? Was there an abandoned community a few miles away, and someone lived there out in the country in a house that's replaced now?

I'm thinking the drawing isn't a fence, even though it looks like one. It reminds me of a peg game board, but I can't place it.

Maybe you should post the picture in a more general forum, without the story behind it. Mention only that the pink heart is not to be included in the analysis. I bet someone knows what the linear symbol with dots means. You just need broader exposure of the picture.

She had posted about this issue in the Lounge and was met with the usual skeptic's crap. I sent her a PM suggesting that she try coming here because this group is usually a lot more receptive (and helpful) than the rest of DU when it comes to issues like this.

you said she wrote the "i heart my family"

is she sleepwalking and doing various activities?

i think that needs to be ruled out first.

then, my take on the picture is that it could be a child's way of trying to sign their name--they see how we write and they try to "write" like a grown-up
