(14,270 posts)I have to say that my kids are pretty textbook so far... that's almost scary!
except for my daughter, and though many astrologers don't buy into the concept of being born "on the cusp" my daughter is truly a cross between Cappy and Aquarius..
but then there's the whole nature/nurture thing...so we still have to wait & see how they turn out, lol
...and welcome TSS, nice to have you here

(29 posts)my Mother - an amateur astrologer for some years - told me that children tend to show more of the traits of their Moon than their Sun. I don't have a particular opinion on that, but it makes some sense.
As far as cusps go, I wonder how much of the perceived being of two signs at once comes from other, un-related-ish factors. For instance, the personal planets Mercury and Venus have a greater chance of being in a sign neighboring the Sun than do any of the other bodies.
And/or, I was born with my Sun just a hair over the Cancer side of Gemini-Cancer, and I've been "accused" of having some Gemini traits. The only planet I have in Gemini is Saturn, in conjunction to my Sun (six degree orb.) I wonder if an out-of-sign Saturn-Sun conjunction can work something like: Saturn restricts the traits of the Sun's sign while Sun illuminates traits of Saturn's sign. I have a friend with Sun in Leo conjunct Saturn in Virgo (also six degree orb) and he could easily be mistaken for a Virgo. Other than Saturn he has no planets in Virgo, though his North Node is there, and his Ascendant remains in question.
