My New Friend (psychic phenomena story)
I have a new friend. She used to be a psychic in Sedona, AZ, but now works as a teacher.
I met up with her at a UFO meeting a few months back. We drive to the meetings together and found we had a lot to talk about. For this story, I will call her "Angel," although her real name is very pretty and unusual, and is derived from "Angel."
Besides the meetings, we get together for dinner. On one planned occasion, we had to reschedule. I had to pick an alternative date out of the air, so I just said, "Tuesday." When I said that, I didn't realize it was my birthday.
So Tuesday arrives, and my husband is out of town so no celebrating with him. My BFF said, "Oh, you're having dinner with Angel, so you and I will have to do something else." She planned the best birthday for me, which took up the earlier part of the day. It involved breakfast on the terrace of an old, magnificent historic house in our neighborhood. Then a private tour of the house and later on in the afternoon, we enjoyed a bottle of wine together.
That evening, I met up with my friend Angel at this tavern that looks like it dates back to Revolutionary war times. I did not tell Angel it was my birthday, as we are relatively new friends. I did not want her to go out and buy presents for me.
Regardless, as we are seated, she gets out these presents and gives them to me. I said, "Why are you giving me all these presents?" I didn't realize what that sounded like and she had kind of a puzzled-- possibly hurt--expression on her face. I felt bad about what I'd said and rushed to say, "I had to ask because it's my birthday, but you didn't know that! Yet here you are giving me presents--'cuz you're a psychic!" I was laughing and when she figured it out, she started laughing, too.
OK, so the story might end there, but it doesn't.
In the book she gave me, which I started reading immediately when I got home, I found the answer to a question I've had for 43 years.
She gave me an item of clothing, which just happened to be my favorite color and made of my favorite fabric. She said, "I thought you might like this." I told her I really liked it.
Unfortunately it is too small. This morning I was looking at it again, to see if I could possible alter it, and I see that it actually is made of my two favorite summer colors: raspberry and orange! I didn't see the orange trim and facing on it when I looked at it at the tavern, as it was kind of dark there.
It's a linen-like fabric, but it doesn't wrinkle as bad as linen. Anyway, the odd part of this is that night when we went to dinner, I was dressed in a raspberry-colored top and was carrying an orange bag. Now how many people dress in raspberry and orange. Well, maybe a lot. I don't see too many, though.
I have been amused by this story for the last week, so I wanted to tell my fellow "psychic types" about it.

(21,046 posts)I have a friend who lives in the desert in New Mexico who is very sensitive and she says that now Sedona is full of con artists. So it is probably good that your new friend got out of that area.

(38,089 posts)"Why did I behave in such a calm manner when I saw something extraordinary?"
Forty-three years ago, I saw a "UFO" in broad daylight. It was a silver disk about 30-feet wide. I was with another person, my brother's girlfriend, and we were driving down an isolated highway in the middle of nowhere. The UFO was very close, at about the altitude of a six-story building. The craft tracked us for maybe 10".
When I saw it, I didn't get excited and point to my friend, "Look at the flying saucer!" Didn't say a word. I was just mesmerized and watched it in a dream-like state for that 10 minutes or so.
I have always wondered why I didn't get excited about it and point it out to my friend. At a certain point she asked me what I was looking at and I said, "A flying saucer is tracking us," at which point she pulled over and jumped out of the car. She saw it as it left us so fast that it appeared to sink into the ground.
The question the book answered was that they can influence us from a distance. If I can find the quote, I'll add it to this thread later.
They are capable of "downloading" information to our minds from a distance, according to this author, who is a therapist who works with people who have had these experiences.
