Why it is dangerous to nominate an Aquarian for anything
Some are great
Abe Lincoln
FDR
Ed Schultz
Keith Olbermann
Some are not
Lon Cheney
Paul Ryan
Sarah Palin
Glenn Beck
Ayn Rand
Ronny Raygun
Aquarians are OBSESSED with building the bigger picture ALL BY THEMSELVES. They are VERY VERY VERY sure of themselves and seldom take
any advice from outside. This is why, if their perception is REALLY HUMANE and accurate (Lincoln and FDR) they can be the very very best.
If however, they get a kink in their hoses, EVERYBODY ELSE IS WRONG. p e r i o d.
Lincoln had it right
FDR had it right

(8,423 posts)I know what you're saying....
I love your posts Rick! I am re-examining just how sure I am of myself. I never think in these terms.
On a slightly different note....I could breathe again today, and felt the liberation.
But was certainly pissed at Romney's choice. Real bastid that one!

(14,881 posts)it was the choice Obama's team hoped for.
They were already trying to tie Mittens (cripes, I can't even remember his real name now ) to Ryan's budget.
Mittens did it for them. Again.

(8,423 posts)Especially after the news settled...it is a great thing, truly. Unless of course they win! But I won't project that into the universe.

(2,185 posts)they have a unique way of stepping 'outside' a problem or situation,
a huge objectivity... usually.
This can be good: as Lincoln saw the bigger picture of the nation at war,
and made some decisions that were necessary for justice,
but took on the derision of many people .....
But this tendency can be bad...
Sarah Palin/Glenn Beck has no sense of empathy for others..
but are crusaders for their own, often imaginary, issues.
And I think Paul Ryan falls into that camp.
They are so convinced they are right, there's no room for debate.
I think that's why the better stripe of Aquarians often stay out
of politics.. their view of the big picture reveals too much to them
and they prefer not to get in the fray...
But the Paul Ryans are terrifying. Ice water runs in their veins.

(136,595 posts)naturally!!! as did my mother; always see many sides of issues. (Hence some DUers disagree unpleasantly with me!)
My daughter? Not so much.

(3,794 posts)but think that Ed Schultz would be a phenomenal president.
Strong, fair, intelligent mind

(2,185 posts)I had him pegged as a bulldog, er, I mean
either Taurus Or Capricorn!
Maybe that's his ascendant...
(he goes after the radical wingnuts, no holds barred...
most Aquarians I know spar intellectually,
but prefer to keep their hands clean...)
I gotta get to know Ed better...

(4,482 posts)I thought her description of Aquarius (my sign) was hilarious.
I bought her book when I studied astrology because we were only getting the good qualities about the signs in class.

(3,794 posts)My girl and I talk all the time about how much MONEY we could make with a book, like, THIS SIGN is a pain in the ass because_____
It would sell like crazy, but we just can't do it.
And we're doing everything we can to help people to understand that they are not their Sun sign. Education is the answer.
thanks

(2,185 posts)And that applies across the board,
about everything.
People should be life-long learners.
There is so much to learn about this world, about people, about life.
There is simply not enough time...
But when we stop learning, we stop growing..
and you know what is next.
That lack of learning is what is wrong with this world.
Too much ignorance, apathy, and self-satisfaction.
