A Prayer for our Land on Election Day:

"O Almighty God, whose kingdom is everlasting and whose power is infinite, have mercy upon our whole land and its people. As our people call forth rulers on this day to govern us, may Your rule be confirmed in our hearts. May those who will be elected on this day, knowing they are called to be servants before Your majesty, ever strive to glorify You and to implore Your wisdom. May we, as the flock of Your inheritance, O Lord, consider the burden placed on them we are electing. May we also strive to faithfully honor our elected leaders, supporting them in doing good and also urging them toward Your law and the active fulfillment of Your good pleasure. With all our brothers and sisters and imploring the Theotokos [Blessed Virgin Mary], St. Herman of Alaska, and all the saints who have shone forth in America, may we ever send up glory, to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit."
