Just testing too. Haven't checked out how to post smilies yet, but... anyway!

If it works the old way, yay! If not, oh well.... won't try to edit. I'm not crazy about the edit history thing. I'm sure I'll be racking up tons of them!

Nice to meet you DD!

Being a progressive Christian is a tough row to hoe, as we often get beat on from Right and Left.

.....to counteract the negative view of religion fostered by the "Religious Right". They have done more to chase people away from Christianity than anything I can think of.

Christian acceptance allows some few an available field of people who are too easily swayed into a religion of the right words rather than the right works. Political money feeds them the words. The words make them feel a part of the group, until God says: "I never knew you."

Oh, I just noticed. DU3 has no spell check, noe spel cheak.

Is anyone familiar with this group - one of my friends found it on Facebook: http://www.thechristianleft.org/

They've posted a lot of great stuff and seem to be very progressive.

I love to respond to the whacko fundies with bible verses. You'd think they'd actually read the book occasionally ...

I'll be adding this group to my subscriptions. I'm still getting used to the new DU but I'm glad they made it easier to find the various groups. Be blessed and have a wonderful week!
