Prayer Circle
Related: About this forumPlease pray for my mental/ emotional health
I'm disabled now two years and on SSDI. I suffer from anxiety and depression. I worry constantly. I'm getting on Medicare in December, thank goodness. I have Obamacare until then.
I'm a victim of the Russian hacker breach. This has sent me spiraling. I also will have some very expensive, uninsured dental work coming up for TMJ.
Please pray my personal information is not released, and that my worry- burden is lifted.
It's a very hard way to live. TIA

(15,719 posts)If you go on the credit reporting services, you can put a freeze on your credit for free.
It will put your mind at ease.

(14,336 posts)I have two credit- monitoring services that say no info of mine and no activity on my credit reports. I'm beside myself and very angry this happened. Thank you, Leftie
Fyi , I did some research and a Wall Street experts said the creaky, slow-loading hackers' downloading probably will make it difficult for them to release a lot of it, but it's still upsetting

(72,592 posts)DU is nice but you need to talk to somebody who is a professional about your stresses.
Do a search with the name of your town or county and then put in mental health support.
I have a psychiatrist and therapist
Today is a holiday so if you are up to it take a nice walk and have a some food you like and then
call your people tomorrow in the AM.

(3,032 posts)Know that if you do find irregularities there are good folks that can help you. There is only so much we can do and that which is out of our hands does not deserve our peace. You probably already do this but just in case, belly breaths through the nose, notice clenched teeth and muscles and let that go. With each exhale let the worries that cant be controlled go. Imagine it all working out and your heart beating easier. Anxiety is one tough customer Be easy with yourself. My best to you. 💗💗🙏🏼

(145 posts)I have had literally $!0,000 of dental work done there for about 10% of the normal cost.. If you live near any other Dental School, elsewhere check them out

(10,989 posts)I used to work in Remote Area Medical dental clinics as a nurse. Any dental school near you is great to help. Also, if you have a RAM clinic coming up near you, look on their website www.ramusa.org and see if there's one. You can get fillings and extractions done for free. Dental students (under the watchful eyes of their instructors) and local dentists volunteer their time for this. More complicated stuff and sedation, no, but you can get numbed. It's great!

None of us are free of worry. If you get stuck on it, use any tricks to get away from it for awhile. I like writing a word and making as many words as I can from the letters in the word, not sure if that is called anagram or something else. I make lists in my head, such as a-z boys' names, a-z girls' names, dog breeds, anything that might take a little thought but is a lifting subject. I also think of books I've read or movies I've seen and think of actors that I would cast in the roles. I like ancient history and geology. It is calming because it's over. I will never stop learning about antiques and collectibles, another subject that you can immerse yourself in and get lost in the details. There are many different shapes of drinking glasses, endless patterns of flatware, a surprising amount of pressed and pattern glass patterns. I also putter. I like to repair things, even if they will have no better value in 1 piece than in parts
You'll be all right.
Are filled are filled with hope and positivity and ways to keep your brain working in a positive way. I use Google and news and what's going on with Nature today to start me off. And puttering is a joy, indoors and out.

(484 posts)I had some information stolen from me too. I can't believe that people like that even exist. So cruel. I am on SSDI also. I was really active for so much of my life. I started with sit-down exercises and progressed over time to doing some stand-up exercises with my walker and now with my walking stick and cane I can make it all the way to the end of my driveway and back to my porch (200 yards). Keep me posted on how you are doing, please. Getting older and having your body say "I'm not working anymore" is a real betrayal. I've started making jokes about everything. Some people don't understand but it helps me keep my head screwed on straight.
Yes, people sink lower and lower sometimes

(394 posts)And, as those of us with wet mouth dogs know, nothing is more comforting and healing than doggie drool. So, Im passing the message on to my boys, the basset hound and St. Bernard, two famously drooly dogs. Theyve got ya covered too.
