(837 posts)I looked for some encouraging quotes online advising that we not worry. Well, those 'don't worry, be happy' sayings just annoyed me! Sometimes I feel that I am entitled to worry. Worry can lead to planning and to asking for support. Sure, it can also paralyze a person, but so can not worrying about health issues. So I will worry with you for now, and hope for a positive outcome as you navigate these health challenges.

(368 posts)but my dad at 93 has had 30% kidney function for 8 years that we know of and after wearing the monitor, diagnosed with heart failure. He takes 2 pills, one is the lowest dose possible. So I guess I've learned through all of the worrying, that alot of medical conditions are at least manageable. So wait and see, it may be good, or not too bad news. He survived cancer and hideous treatment at 86 too.

(18,465 posts)Cardiologist reviewed the 2 week heart speed monitor. Said it looked like anxiety produced speeding at occasional times only. Nothing constant! Phew.
Sill he wants me on the minimal dose of a beta blocker, says no side effects bc of low dose.
Set up for a Echocardiogram, and see him in 3 months.
