Prayer Circle
Related: About this forumHaving just come from GD, I offer a prayer for those who killed the Jordanian pilot, as well as for
Muath al-Kaseasbeh who endured a death of such unspeakable helplessness, fear and pain.
It is in horror we instantly lose our own humanity and are quick to strip those who do evil of any shred of our shared, common humanity.
I pray that the God who created us all strengthen our brotherhood and sisterhood, even in this, and show us the path to the mercy that is given to us all, no less to the merciless.
May the woman ISIS prisoner who is about to be executed by the Jordanian government not be a blood sacrifice to our outrage.

(11,573 posts)from whom we all come forth and to whoym we return to be born again, receive in love the spirits of those who come to you through pain and violence. Teach them your wisdom, so that as your children, they may know that all living beings are their brothers and sisters. Strengthen those of us who walk the Earth that we may not yield to the temptations of hatred and revenge. Help us, too, to remember that all living beings are our brothers and sisters, lest we be blinded by anger. For those who have gone to walk the Blue Road:
Make their steps sure as they come to you.
Make their eyes bright when they look upon you..
Make their hearts glad while they dwell with you in the Other Side Camp.
