weird weather in texas

last night in georgetown texas (just outside austin) it was 82 degrees at midnight
an hour later at 1:10am it had spiked to 99 degrees
another hour later and it was back down to 84 degrees.

The national weather service sayd it was a heat burst cause by rapidly descending air in a decaying thunderstorm. compressional air causes the air to rapidly heat up as it descends

in south dakota the temperature once rose from -4 to 45 in 2 minutes. a couple hours later the temp went from 54 to -4 in 27 minutes

the temperature change was enough to crack plate glass windows
