Did anybody get to see the eclipse today?

I got clouded out, as did my acquaitances farther east. I was only going to get a bit less than 50% totality anyway, but I sure would've liked to see it. (I'm kind of a nerd that way....)

1. We saw it in Colorado ...

2. Clear in Phoenix

Used the pinhole method. We had a slim crescent of sunlight - we were in the 80-90% area.
Mostly I noticed how dark it was in the house at the peak.

3. Watched it in Pinellas County, Florida.

It was a nice crescent at its peak. We saw no one with eclipse glasses other than us. It was surprising, as we were at a large outdoor market in a park and ate lunch in a downtown area.

4. I tried. We also had only about 50% totality in MN, and it was overcast, but

sometimes the clouds would break a bit so I was able to see it, what there was of it. Used welding goggles.

5. We had close to 70%...

But it was cloudy until the last few minutes of it so I missed it. It was sunny for ten minutes, been cloudy since.

Right about the 90% line. Good enough to see the weird shadow effect.

11. 88% in Boise at 10:24 AM

I was able to borrow an onlooker's eclipse shades for a brief look. There was a slight crescent of light remaining. It darkened things up a bit along with a slight temperature drop, but as far as "Wow" factor goes, it was nowhere close to the total eclipse of 2017.

12. Cloudy in Oregon but we got a glimpse

before and during the maximum. Our 2017 sunglasses were pretty useless. The clouds were doing enough filtering. Sky was dim for midmorning. It was a little ooky. I was expecting only a crescent, but we got most of the full ring. We are just north of the maximum zone.

We banged pots and pans and scared away the demon that was eating the sun. Hey, the sun god is not going to appease himself.

20. We were going to head to KC

I think they were supposed to be 60%. But we got clouded out and stayed home, instead. Hoping to travel next April, tho. I'm nerdy, like you!

21. We saw a good partical in Montana.

Intermittent clouds helped make it easier it watch. This was my third partical solar eclipse and I have also seen a full lunar eclipse. It is never boring.

22. I watched it in Albuquerque. We had totality there. Absolutely wonderful.

I'd booked a hotel just south of ABQ. Went out to the parking lot of the hotel for the eclipse. Lots of people there, mostly, but not exclusively, people staying at the hotel. Where we were, two different people set up telescopes with filters, so we could safely watch the eclipse through the telescopes. Most people had eclipse glasses, and I had plenty of extras for those who didn't have them.

It was a wonderful experience.
