What the hell?

You've all seen them. The Facebook friends who post the pictures that say, "Type YES if you love Jesus!"

I just saw the following and had to do a double take:

What the hell? Is this image supposed to be comforting? If so, what is wrong with me? That is more disturbing than comforting.

Also, what is the need for forgiveness? Jesus forgives me??? For what?

That dude doesn't inspire me - he creeps me out. So I had to change it. I like this dude better:

"Reply YES if Jesus is your Lord and Savior"

"Reply YES if Jesus makes you feel giddy"

etc.

EDIT

I just found this:

Vote Yes for Jesus to receive salvation. Weird.

1) Vote "Yes" for, Jeebus to receive salvation.
2) Vote "Yes" for Jeebus, to receive salvation.

I'm kind of leaning for #1...

but I'm on the fence...as to whether he deserves it, after getting all righteous on that poor fig tree.

Did you just vote No to Jesus? You are by this saying you don't want to receive God's salvation and blessings. It's a dangerous position to be in spiritually. If you remain and die in this state, you may go to hell where God punishes all sinners eternally.

It is important you say Yes to Jesus and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. If you made a mistake and would like to go back and correct it, you can still do so and vote Yes to Jesus.

That's what you get when you prioritize "the message" over aesthetic.

"The largest collection of religious art in the Western Hemisphere."

Which does contain many Old Masters. But we already knew that Lying For Jesus is very profitable.

Sorry, but the Russian Icon Collection is temporarily closed. Including many icons "from the Romanovs, the last ruling family of Russia."

Boy, life sure was a lot more simple when we had the Divine Right of Kings! The orders came directly from God, then to the King/Czar, then to us peasants. As I remember, in Czarist Russia those orders often were: "Start another pogrom against the Chosen People."

Mysterious ways, and all that...
