Reminds me of Christ and the ninty and nine.
One lamb had gone astray so he left the other ninty nine to find the one lost sheep. 1% of the sheep get the Christ treatment while the 99% are left to survive on their own. I bet the wolves lurking on the edge of the flock following their natural instincts had quite a lunch. Or maybe a lot of sheep died of dysentery or dehydration for sake of a media op for the 1%.
I just wrote this in comment to an OP in GD per: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/karen-pence-outline-goals-art-therapy-initiative/
and felt like sharing it here.

(22,940 posts)doing what she feels comfortable doing... that is ok in my book... we have enough to bitch about with Trump and the people (FEMA) that are really supposed, and have the ability, to help

(13,631 posts)but disagree that doing "what feels comfortable" is an acceptable message for anyone with the capability to supply something that can save lives especially if that person has a media presence under the government banner. If she is incapable of being a visible part of a government entourage she should not be in it or find a way to do what she wants privately. Better yet, do what is best for humanity and grow up from the need to concern herself for her own comfort where people are dying. It's childish to do otherwise.
