India scientists dismiss Einstein theories

7 January 2019

Scientists in India have hit out at speakers at a major conference for making irrational claims, including that ancient Hindus invented stem cell research.

Some academics at the annual Indian Science Congress dismissed the findings of Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein.

Hindu mythology and religion-based theories have increasingly become part of the Indian Science Congress agenda.

But experts said remarks at this year's summit were especially ludicrous.

The 106th Indian Science Congress, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, runs from 3-7 January.

India outcry after scientists claim ancient Hindus invented stem cell research

The organisers of a major Indian science conference distanced themselves on Sunday from speakers who used the prestigious event to dismiss Einstein’s discoveries and claim ancient Hindus invented stem cell research.

The Indian Scientific Congress Association expressed “serious concern” as the unorthodox remarks aired by prominent academics at its annual conference attracted condemnation and ridicule.

The distinguished gathering of Indian researchers and scientists, which was held over the weekend, hosts Nobel laureates, but in recent years has seen Hindu faith-based theories edging onto the agenda.

At this year’s congress, the head of a southern Indian university cited an ancient Hindu text as proof that stem cell research was discovered on the subcontinent thousands of years ago.

Oh well, I'm sure the skeptics were put in their place when the Vedic super-scientists jumped into their Vimanas and flew away.

3. I've once read the theory that this chauvinism is a reason for islamic extremism:

The theory was basically that Muslims are pissed at the injustice:

The Middle-East has so much ancient history, it has ancient cultures and civilization. Muslims have the best religion in the world... And yet the decadent infidels have all the economic success and luxuries and freedoms while the Middle-East is stuck with poverty, inequality and dictators.

Something is going wrong. How come that Muslims live in poverty despite having the correct religion? There is only one answer: The infidels are cheating. The solution is to believe harder.
