4. I drove 70 miles round trip every working day in Chicago

As you are probably aware, Chicago gets lot of snow and roads can get icy frequently. But I never missed a day of work because during my time there (1962-1986) because the city used tons of salt to melt the snow and ice.

12. I've got to get some salt for my driveway, which always ices up.

There's a slight slope up to get into the garage, so driving in when there's ice can be difficult.

It's 29º F in Damascus in the NE corner of PA on the Delaware River. The sky is clear. The fire feels good!

We have two seasons here in the Lower Catskills: Winter and the Fourth of July!

the jet stream oscillates with larger and larger dips and "hills", thus drawing tropical air to the polar regions while at the same time either side of that hill it will drag polar air down to invade the lower 48, as it does so the temperature gradient becomes even sharper thus causing more tornadoes and extreme weather.
