(135,060 posts)With a few fellow Du'ers. It was a great time and the best part is I'll be able to write a check to my cc and pay for it in full. . looking forward to my next adventure.
hope you had a great time on yours and you get the next one on time so you can plan another one soon.

(137,039 posts)and as I only have a debit card, its all done! Had a fine time, w cousin + her family I see all too infrequently.
You went with DUers??? WOW! I did that last spring!
Between my last post and this one, heard from the p.o.s., and told him a thing or two, including I MAY seek Contempt Citation against him if he doesn't comply in a timely fashion! NO MORE Ms. Nice Me, ENOUGH!

(137,039 posts)SO HAPPY for us! So glad we're together in our success (however belated.)
Sent the p.o.s. an e.mail yesterday, after he wrote a 'hedging' message; I was unusually hard-a**ed, and guess what? He wrote back this afternoon: "Will mail the check Monday."

(52 posts)Till I am in your position. My divorce is still dragging on. Year three to be exact. He is SUCH a prick. LOL...but that is saved for another thread...

(137,039 posts)We didn't divorce, just separated, in an agonizing fashion, cost me $$$ in attorney fees but I retain our family federal medical coverage as a supplement to medicare. And the 'end' of this story about which I wrote in '11, he passed on 1 year ago. Daughters and godchildren received a lot as beneficiaries, and at the end, maybe because I'd been helping him with some medical matters, he provided for me via survivor annuity (from his federal employment) and I also receive a soc sec survivor benefit, so tho I wasn't beneficiary of any of his investments, my finances have improved, enabling me to rent a cottage and vastly improve my surroundings, like this, every night:
And have 1 grandson, born last December, and one coming, due July 20, and living near me.
