North Sioux City special election set for next week
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KCAU) Next week, North Sioux City will be holding a special election where residents will have the opportunity to change the citys current form of government.
Voters will decide whether to keep the current aldermanic form of government or go to a commissioners form of government. City administrator Jeff Dooley says that if the form of government changes, it will not happen very quickly.
You know, from a management perspective, this change will take time, he said. Were going through some big decisions right now, and having to change the form of government is going to affect our ability to make those decisions in the short term as we try to adjust to a new form of government if that happens.
Voting will start on Dec. 10 at the North Sioux City Community Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will need a South Dakota drivers license or a birth certificate.
