I have a question about kapalas and kanglings.

A friend of mine just got married. As practicing Hindus, they also had a Hindu ceremony which included the ritual use of a kangling (leg bone trumpet) and a kapala (human skull cup). I understand these items are also used in some forms of Buddhism (Tibetan, mostly). As the DU religious/spiritual group closest to this practice, what are your opinions of these ritual items and their use in modern practice?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment on the topic. I will cross-post this in the Ancient Wisdom and Seekers on Unique Paths groups, too, just to see if I can find any Hindus to chime in.
