The good news, for those who want to see a 2016 presidential recount happen in Florida, is that the group only needs $50,000 to proceed with the lawsuit. The trickier part is that they need the money almost immediately so theyll be able to proceed in time. A Florida law firm, led by attorney Clint Curtis, has already taken the case and is looking to file the lawsuit tomorrow.
The group in question, Protect Our Elections, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and has a documented history of fighting for campaign and election reform.

(3,194 posts)They are going to need a whole lot more than that. $50K will cover 1 day of attorney fees. Maybe. Just sayin'
Wouldn't it be funny if it came down to a recount in FL again, and the Democrats got Fucked a 2nd time, with a recount prevented.

(7,004 posts)When I went there to donate, it was approx $5K, now it's up to $16,500 and some odd dollars. Obviously people want this as much as the three Stein & Hillary are involved in now.

(3,194 posts)For the most part. Do you think there is something there? Do you think Florida is legitimately in doubt?
There's no telling what parties involved would do to prevent any fraud from being discovered. They have too much to lose at this point.
Something significant has to be found in at least a couple of the states. And it would need media attention, and a lot of it. A groundswell of distrust by people countrywide, to the point of shutting everything down until the truth is discovered.
But again, I fear they have too much to lose, and have or will take steps to make sure any fraud remains hidden forever.
