We dropped a banner for International Women's Day 2012 from the Benson I70-overpass during rush hour

traffic.

Since I was helping to hold the banner, I have no pics.

We made five very nice banners last-night. The one we used this morning, in addition to identifying International Women's Day 2012 and OccupyKC.net, said:

MY VAGINA IS NOT
YOUR POLITICAL FOOTBALL

- watch for it & others around KC today & this summer;
- beautiful bracing late winter Morning;
- pics later at occupykc.net
- OccupyKC Womens' Caucus party tonight at St. Marks, look for International Women's Day banner outside the building.

There were 5 banners saying various things about Women's issues, including one demanding reproductive justice now! Jacklyn headed up the project; she's on the right; I am next to her and one of our men is behind. There were several others who helped us, but this picture was taken about 3 a.m., so they were either crashed in the other room or had gone home. We left 4 of the banners where we dropped them around KC, but this one we kept to use again whenever.

There's video, not mine, but I will post it when I hear that it is ready.
