New York Post & Rupert Murdoch: Stop Lying About Occupy Wall Street
On Monday, December 31st, the New York Post reported that weapons and high explosive powder were found in the home of a Greenwich Village couple. Featured in the article was an evidence-free assertion that one of the accused is an “Occupy Wall Street activist”.

Add your name now to hold the NY Post accountable and protect Occupy from false allegations!

We are concerned about the false allegations that Occupy Wall Street is linked to individuals involved in violence or criminal activity. And the New York Post is playing an especially prominent role in misinforming the public.

In the wake of Dec. 31 reporting alleging a (nonexistent) link between two suspects arrested with bomb making materials and OWS, we demand a retraction and apology from the New York Post on the same print and Web pages as the original accusation.

Our experience is that hyping falsehoods about Occupy Wall Street contributes to real and documented police violence, unconstitutional domestic spying activities, and the marginalization of constituencies and views that deserve respectful treatment by reporters.

The status quo wants to make Occupy look bad so bad they will jump at any straw they can. The journalist will jump at any possible connection due to the sales dept. pushing them to. Sad to say this but the Sales Dept. has their dirty fingers in most of the news rooms in this country. And with the deep pockets of the other side, guess who else is in there.
With this mad hunt for any way to connect Occupy with violence or criminal activity must mean that Occupy is getting people to think. And we all know that that is the nightmare of upper echelon.
