(20,665 posts)Some help referenced said setting/changing the open dsn. I can't even find it in my settings. These newer smart phones are a pain in the derriere.
I hit all options up in the Google corner and I am going in circles.
I'll call wireless carrier in the a.m. to figure it out.
T.Y. for your assist. 😌

(118,565 posts)Under the "Preferences" section it will let you choose options to display avatars and sig lines. You might also check the third line that permits choices for mobile devices. Note that if you choose the "Classic" option then you might have to scroll from left to right to read entire replies since they will not wrap the text. Good luck with the fix.

Are you able to see my avatar. It's our beautiful real and true President, BARACK!

(118,565 posts)I'm not certain, but I think that when it is set for "mobile" mode on the third line of that page it might omit the avatars.

(20,665 posts)I must be a real dingbat.
I'll go there again. I've had it chosen to show avatars when I joined up again. BTW, can one sign on with a previous username after creating a new account?
My previous phone ran Microsoft and the older phone (on here now) and new one runs Android. That maybe what's the deal. It's handy to read on these phones.
Thanx all for advice.

(13,260 posts)took note of it, but my phone isn't displaying avatars either. I assume it's to save battery power.

If your browser allows you to change the User Agent then you should be able to find an option that will show DU's desktop view. (Try an Android tablet User Agent.)

(20,665 posts)google settings. The posts are elongated, but avatars and sig lines are showing. On my previous MS run phone, the posts looked like they would on a non-smartphone device. Well, anyway, thanky y'all.

(I contrived this earlier ruminating while catchin' a few rays. An acronym for: "Restoring America's Magnificence After Hovno Head Wrecked It". I almost did "MAMA" Making America Magnificent Again after ****head wrecked it.)
