My avatar has disappeared

It was a DU avatar in the "animals" category..a reddish colored dog.

Anyone else having this problem?

1. Yes, same here. IMO it's a system problem. I posted it on Ask the Admins. ...

If you logout of DU you can probably see it on your post, but if you login to DU you can't. The URL for avatars is not loading properly, at least for me. It started this morning. Others will be able to see it, you can not if logged in. Here's more info. (I found from another DU'er in a Google search.)

"The html code shows that everyone's avatar is loading from 'www.democraticunderground.com' except for the avatar of the person logged in, which is on 'upload.democraticunderground.com' - which seems to be offline.

So everyone should be able to see other member's avatars but quite possibly not their own (although they likely have a cached version their browser is using).

Strange symptom of 'upload.democraticunderground.com' not responding."

So, it appears to be a DU system problem?

10. Yep! You can see it but I can't see mine unless I log out. One of DU's servers is not responding.

It's 'upload.democraticunderground.com' It is not responding, so you and I can't see our avatars, but others can.
I can also see yours, the dog.

14. Mine, too. A Vietnam service medal. My signature image, rainbow flag disappeared months ago.

I don't know what's going on, but I see other people's avatars and signature lines that look like downtown Las Vegas.
