Why am I suddenly getting pro-trump ads?

I’ve been getting all kinds of pro-trump ads blocking out half my iPhone screen.
Even hitting the inappropriate button for google hasn’t deterred them. How did google get involved in the first place? I’m using safari on an iPhone.
